The apps

Where CBT Assistant Pro runs, and where it does not yet.

The web app is finished and working today. The native apps are not, and this page says exactly how far each one has got. There are no store links here, because there is nothing behind them — and a dead link would cost us more than this sentence does.

Six answers

One of these you can use in the next thirty seconds. Five of them you cannot.

The web

Available now

Any current browser

The whole product, with nothing to install — Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge, on whatever machine you are already sitting at. This is the one that is finished. On Windows, Linux and ChromeOS it is the answer, not a stopgap.

Mac

Being built

macOS 12 or later, when it arrives

The desktop app is written and it runs: it listens on your own machine, transcribes there, and hands the result to your account without anything joining your call. It has never been packaged, signed or notarised, so there is no file here to give you. On a Mac today, open the web app.

No download yet

iPhone

Being built

iOS 16 or later

Built, and not submitted. The App Store listing is written and waiting, but the app has never gone to review, so there is no link to give you. An App Store link that opens nothing is exactly the kind of small untruth this product cannot afford.

Not in the App Store yet

iPad

Being built

iPadOS 16 or later

The same app, and it runs — but it is still laid out for the phone rather than for the larger screen, and you would notice inside a minute. We would rather tell you here than let you find it. Not submitted either.

Not in the App Store yet

Android

Being built

Android 7.0 or later

The app is being built and it runs. There is no Google Play listing yet — not a pending one, an absent one — so there is nothing here to link to.

Not on Google Play yet

Windows

Not started

The web app, in any browser

There is no Windows app. Not a late one — an unstarted one, and we would rather write that than invent a date. The web app runs on Windows in full, and that is the honest recommendation rather than a consolation.

Nothing to download

Why this page is so short

Nothing here points at something that is not there.

Everything on this site is written to survive being checked. A download button that 404s, or a store link to an app that has never been submitted, is the same kind of untrue as a badge we cannot evidence — and a therapist deciding whether to put her licence near a piece of software is reading for exactly that. So this page names the state of each platform and links only to what you can open today. When that changes, it changes here first.

Every release is written up in the changelog

What the native apps are for

The apps exist for one thing a browser cannot do well.

Nobody joins your call. CBT Assistant Pro listens on your own machine and transcribes it there — nothing is uploaded to us, and no third party is in the room. That is what the desktop and phone apps are being built for. Everything else they will do, the web app already does today.

Artwork to come
Four ways to take notes. You will only ever notice one.

In the meantime

The web app is not the lesser version. It is the product.

Everything a practice runs on is already there — the formulation, the hypotheses, the plan and the outcomes, the notes, the booking and the invoices. Free while we are in early access. Your records are yours, exportable in full, the day you decide to leave.
